Our Story
After 25 years of leading teams and shaping communities across the country, our founder, Nicole Stines, “retired” from the student housing industry in 2025. But even in retirement, the work seemed to follow her—in the best way. Former team members continued to reach out for guidance, support, and a safe space to process the daily challenges of property management.
That pattern sparked an important question: How many professionals are navigating student housing right now without a mentor they can trust?
From that simple realization, Student Housing Guide was born.
When Nicole shared the concept with a few colleagues, the response was immediate. Within days, more than twenty seasoned professionals volunteered to serve as mentors—people who had walked the walk and were eager to support the next generation of leaders.
As the idea grew, so did our understanding of the need. Many smaller operators lack the corporate infrastructure to offer consistent mentorship, operational support, or a sense of community for their on-site teams. Student Housing Guide was designed to bridge that gap.
Today, our team provides customizable support to professionals in any role and companies of all sizes. We assist with leasing, operations, training, and even hands-on projects.
